It’s that time of year when we all reflect of the past 12 months and think “Phew, did we do all that in one year? Really? I thought that was last year!” It’s the Big Red Engine Highlights of the year.

The Man Who Wanted To Fly

Our editor Emer O’Clery started the year cutting the feature doc, The Man Who Wanted To Fly for LooseHorse. It’s about 2 elderly brothers in Cavan, one of whom dreams of flying a plane. It picked up the audience award at the IFI Documentary Festival! Watch out for more screenings in the new year…

Off to Donegal for ACORNS

We’re so proud our short film helped ACORNS become runner-up in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards. They do fabulous work supporting female entrepreneurs in rural Ireland.

Research & Innovation Awards

Every year we do lots of work for the Research & Innovation Awards sponsored by the American Chamber and the RIA, profiling all the nominees and winners, and filming the event itself. As it happens, applications have just closed for 2019.

New work with the Department of Foreign Affairs

It’s great to work with new clients. This year we made several videos for the Department of Foreign Affairs. One project was the launch of the Nelson Mandela exhibition in Kilmainham in July.

Commercials

We also dipped our toes in the world of commercials: Emer edited a series of ads for Liberty Insurance “Ready for the Real World” campaign (produced by Invisible Thread). Scott worked with BBDO for Eirgrid, and buckled up with the RSA filming the Seatbelt Sheriff.

Behind the scenes with estate agents Savills

This year we did major work producing videos for Savills Ireland departments, including their recently expanded New Homes devision.

Launch of the newly formed Netwatch Group

Another new client, Netwatch, asked us to produce a film to celebrate the merger of four international monitoring companies to become Netwatch Group. The launch was attended by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

Internet Day in Gorey

We spent a lot of time in glorious Gorey last October in the run up to #InternetDay2018. It had been selected by the IE Domain Registry to be its #DigitalTown, and we produced several videos exploring how the internet impacts local businesses.

Irish Book Awards

For the 7th year we’ve produced films for the An Post Irish Book Awards. This year it was our pleasure to pay tribute to Thomas Kinsella for his Lifetime Achievement Award, with this video.

Custodian

We continued our collaboration with Custodian Consultancy, filming various projects for them, including their AnPost and Travelport Digital campaigns.

A Slice of KPMG

We finished off the year producing graduate recruitment videos for KPMG Ireland. What makes it a great place to work? Well if you watch the videos you’ll find out!

Happy New Year!

So that’s just a glimpse of some of the work we’ve done this year. We’d like to say thanks to all our clients, and wish you a Happy New Year. Looking forward to working with you all again in 2019!
